HA! It's Junior High for you!
Don't pay attention to her. She just thinks that she's found the key to "good" dancing, and when you and the rest of her friends didn't join in, she decided to be a little princess and throw a fit.
Don't pay attention. Right now you're right--EVERYONE looks a little bit stupid when they dance in Junior High. Popularity isn't going to matter in the end. Just have fun! That's the only thing you need to worry about!

Okay, junior high isn't as bad as you think. Sure, the eighth graders push you around and make fun of the "little sixth graders" behind their backs, because I so did when I was an eighth grader. It's hard losing a friend to something stupid, but it happens, and I know, because it happened to me. All of that is EXTREMELY retarded because you're not judged by your dancing skills and how much you shake your butt. She's not hanging out with you guys because she didn't like the way you DANCED??? WHO CARES HOW YOU DANCE??? I AM THE WORST DANCER EVER AND I'M NOT DYING OF LACK OF FRIENDSHIP!!!!! If she doesn't like you anymore because you danced bad, then she's not a real friend. REAL friends they don't care how dance, how you sing, anything. REAL friends like you for you, not your dance skills. Besides, as long as you have your REAL friends, who cares what other people think?

Yes, it is very stupid. You should dance however you want to... it does not matter if she thinks you are cool, the whole point is for you to have fun. Plus, people look really dumb when they shake their butts. Just tell her that you do not want to dance like that, and that if she thinks that you're uncool then that's ok with you.

Anybody who choses being a sl*t over being a friend, isn't a friend in the first place.
You need a friend who treats you the way you want to be treated and the way you treat her. If you had to chose between having a good friend and being popular, what would you chose? And trust me, when she is 15 and runnng on her to ask about what to do about being pregnant from some guy she had sex with to be cool, you will be the COOLEST of them all!

She isn't a real friend then. She shouldn't care how u dance. I am 12 and thought it mattered how I dancced the first couple dances I went to but then I really didn't care. My friends didn't vare either. Just dance the way u want.

yes...sorry to say but it is a little silly of her to be like that. let me tell you that when you get out of school. everything that happens like this is going to be looked back on and laughed at! whatever happens between you and your friends. jr high is only 3 yrs...then comes high school and trust me everything changes big time!!! just be yourself and you'll be as popular as you need to be. and you don't need to shake your a** to be popular...in the long run that will only not make you popular in a good way but could get you called some pretty bad names! just be yourself and everything will turn out for the best in the end...concentrate on school!

There were three girls, tammy, beck and jen. Beck was the beauty and had any guy, got pregnant, had an abortion, and became very ill. Tammy wanted to be cool so she ran to the first guy and had sex to say she did, everyone asked who it was and when she said she didn't really know him they said Yuck! Jen learned from listening and watching her friends make dumb decisions about sex, worry about periods, pregnacy, parents finding out, the guys just trying them out, and many negative things. Jen thought she wasn't cool then one day Beck and Tammy told her how they wished they was as cool as Jen, becaouse she wasn't screwing up her life and feeling guilty.

No, absolutly not. Something similar happened to me. in 6th grade, there was a pajama dance. you were supposed to wear pjs. one of my BEST friends showed up with some other girls to tha dance just to make fun of the people wearing pjs. i thought if we disagreed over something that stupid *like popularity* maybe we were too different to be friends

Be an individual! do what you want to do not what they think you should. There is no limit to styles of dancing and just because she thinks it is cool it dosent mean it is. Do your own thing! You will earn more respect for being yourself.
