Does anyone thing the guys on American Idol really sucked? I thought it was supposed to get better, not worse. This year is DEFINATELY worse than last year. They cut out all my favorite people in Hollywood week. I guess I'm not watching this season... maybe I'll get some homework lol.

But the guy who just went sang one of my favorite songs and he sung it WELL! That was the first of the night. Maybe thery're saving the best for last.

well it's still early. I think they are all really nervous tonight and want to play it safe. I think the judges are consciously being extra hard on them tonight so as to not play favorites
It's only the first night of competition, I am pretty sure they will get better.

They cut all my fave people in Hollywood week, too. I think that Chris, the Chris with the glasses, not the bald one, was okay. He's really funny, but it IS a singing contest... If I were you, I'd still watch it, though. There are some good girls you can root for, and homework sucks lemons! Lol, i am only watching this season for the girls, although my fave girl, Bailey Brown, was voted off in hollywood week. :(

The guys really sucked last night. Blake was pretty good, and Phil was ok once he got to the middle of the song. I really expected Nick to do better, but he picked a really boring song. And did anyone notice he's doing the Constantine "follow the camera around when I sing so the little girls swoon" thing? I think this is definitely gonna be a good year for the girls, but of course, I haven't heard them sing yet.

DITTO!! What in the He!! happened last night. The show really didn't get off to a good start. Although Blake was good, the rest was just okay or awful. I thought some of the better ones didn't shine like they should have. They need to bring it on. Hopefully the girls will do better.

Bald Chris was HOT and had a great voice. I can't wait to see what he looks like when they re-style him. His eyebrows have GOT to go. They drive me nuts.
Funny Chris was pretty good, too. Hmmmm what do you think HE'LL look like after the restyle?
I also liked beat box boy. He's got great presence.
I think think they'll all get much better as the season progresses. Nerves and lack of experience probably had a lot to do with the lackluster performances last night. Did you remember to vote?

Couldn't agree more! The guys should consider themselves lucky that there are 2 separate groups right now, or else instead of 2 guys and 2 girls leaving, 4 guys could leave. It's definitely a girl's competition to win this year.

Although the only ones I really liked were the two men named Chris (curly haired, overweight guy and guy with redfaced dad), there were several I liked when I rewatched the tape (but isn't this the year a woman likely gets it).

there were a couple who were pretty good, and a couple that were AWESOME. Chris Sligh and Blake whoever are my favorites, but the first guy was pretty decent and AJ too. And the asian guy wasn't awful even tho his whole not wearing shoes thing is kinda creepy.

I think that Sleight (the fat Chris), Blake, the other Chris and Jared or something (the black dude with class) are better that the rest. I can add 8 girls and that´s your top 12.

I liked Chubby Chris, Other Chris (grow some hair dude, you are HOT!) and Beatbox Blake. That's it.
Hope the girls are better than the boys---because last night was a yawner!
