Help. I just tested for the second time with a First Response pregnancy test, and got a *very* *very* super light pink line in the positive side of the test. I verified with my husband if he saw a faint line, and he said yes. So, am I pregnant? And if so, how come I have light cramps now?? I am only one day late with my period, but I am ALWAYS on time like clockwork.

Even a faint line means it is positive. Wait and take the test again tomorrow morning if there is another line (even a faint one) it is not a fluke. You are pregnant! The hormone just hasn't had enough time to build up yet. When you aren't pregnant you don't have the hormone (generally speaking) so there is no chance of getting a line without the presence of the hormone and thus a baby. Congrats!

Any line in the test box means positive. You can absolutely consider yourself pregnant. You can test again in a few days and the line will be much stronger. Cramps are a normal part of early pregnancy. If they become very painful and are accompanied with alot of bright red blood, go to your doctor. The positive line doesn't show anything if there is no pregnancy hormaone present in your urine. Congratulations!

If you are pregnant cramps can be normal and is caused by implantation, If you start bleeding then you should worry...If your still unsure go see your doctor as for the test, try testing again in a week or so and see if your results change or go to your doctor and have a blood test done.....If you waited longer than 5 minutes befor you saw the faint line then it would be inaccurate and it called an evaporation line.....

good luck!

I also used the first response brand of pregnancy test and I took 4 of them because I wasn't sure whether or not it was positive. But I too had the very faint pink line on all 4. I ended up buying a digital test so that it wuld tell me for sure "pregnant" or "not pregnant" and there would be no more guessing. And sure enough I was pregnant! Good luck!

Yes, you are pregnant.. that is what happened to me then I took 2 more tests, digital ones that read, Pregnant or Not Pregnant and they both said pregnant! I would wait until the morning, do not pee, then go an buy another test just so you can ease your mind. Congrats!!! :)

Oh and the cramps are normal. I had them quite a bit and thought my period was coming, nope..... they are normal. If they are accompanied by bleeding then call the doc, that is once you find out for sure that you are pregnant....

As long as you checked the test within the 10 minute time frame, it counts! Congrats! To be sure, take another test in a few days. If you use first of the morning urine, the line will most likely be darker, and you'll feel better about the positive result. Good luck!!!

A positive is a positive as long as it is read within the 10 minute time limit. After 10 minutes an evaporation line can appear and it is NOT a positive. HCG would not be present in toyr urine if you were not pregnant. Congrats and good luck with having a happy healthy baby!

I would say any line is positive. As for the cramping I had a period for 3 months with my 2nd child. I was almost 12 wks along before I knew I was pregnant.

don't sound the alarms just yet. if you don't have your period in a few more days, take another test and the line should be darker.
and if you read the test after about 10 minutes, that line could be obsolete. i'm pretty sure it will say right in the instructions to NOT read the test after 10 minutes.
good luck!
