EU = Estado Unidos, States United or United States. If you know Spanish this would be obvious. Otherwise it would seem as if the questioner were asking about the European Union.
Picking one is not always easy as both places will have things I like and dislike. Like comparing Steak to Roast. Both taste good, are found on the same animal, but have differing flavors.
Me, I have never been to Canada, but I much prefer Mexico and the American Southwest. These two are so closely related that for me it is great.
I think Canada would be a great place to visit as well. I just have friends in Mexico and therefore spend time there.

I don't prefer either, People are people wherever you go. I live with a Mexican man and have a Canadian friend. Worlds apart but deep down the same. And for all you people referring to European Union, Look at some of the products made in Mexico, and see when ship in to US what the initials E.U. are in a different language.

Mexico by far. Let's see, Mexico has deserts, oceans, mountains, history, a unique culture, traditions, colonial cities, interesting architecture, tons of festivals, freindly hard-working people, modern cities like the capital, the best food in the world (authentic Mexican food, not tex-mex) and much more.
Canada is one big chunk of ice and the only thing you think of when you think of Canada is a leaf. My goodness.

I'm very close to Canada, so for me, Canada is my preference. However, I've been to Mexico as well, and it's likewise an interesting place. It all depends on the situation.

If by E.U you meant European Union, you are way off. But if you ment something else along the lines of U.S. I would have to say Canada
