Oh, you ignorant people!

1) Being gay is not a mental disorder. It hasn't been considered such for many years.
2) Being gay is not a sin. Those people who insist on claiming that it is 'against God's plan' or 'against God's Word' are living in a world that ceased to exist more than 500 years ago. We know much more about the world around us now. One thing we know is that a portion of humanity (and the animal kingdom, too) is homosexual. Always has been. It's part of nature. God's Plan, if you will.
3) Marriage is a commitment between two people. How can that be wrong? Why should it matter if it's 2 men, 2 women, or a woman and a man?
4) 'Guys doing guys is gross!' Well, I'll make a deal with you: I won't force you to have sex with a man. How's that? Problem solved. I like the bumper sticker that says: "Against gay marriage? Don't have one!" That says it pretty clearly to me.
5) The argument that gay marriage will somehow degrade the institution of marriage is ridiculous. The institution of marriage has been degraded perfectly well by the heterosexuals whose domain it has been up to this point. If anything, gay people will add a sense of class and candor to the institution.
6) Oh, and: grow up.

Like all good Americans, I am strongly in favor of gay marriage.

Equal treatment under the law is guaranteed by our Constitution.

Anyone opposed to gay marriage on religious grounds is also opposed to our democracy, and should really consider relocating to a country with a state religion. Like Iran, for example. Now there's a place where the word of God really is the law of the land.

What's that's, fundamentalists? You don't want to go to Iran because it seems like a harsh and violent place? Well, Iran is what you get when you allow religion to take precedence over freedom. "Live and let live" does not exist there. Maybe you'd like to rethink your position on this issue, embrace separation of church and state, and start being a functioning member of our democracy.

I am not gay but am a supporter and I am thrilled that New Jersey is now one more state to recognize gay marriage...they have the same rights as the heterosexuals, to have a family, to be able to love and protect their partners...So I say, Congratulations to all who can now be married and proud !!!!!!!!!!!

It is fully legal in canada, and there are churchs that won't discriminate. It is nice that gays can marry here. I don't understand why you guys down south won't follow in our footsteps. must be the right wing nazis running the show.
We have just elected a conservative Gov't in power and they tried to revote on the same sex issue. but it didn't pass in the gov't...thank god....because it's all we have well except for the universal health care, semi legal weed, good economy, no guns etc....good luck on your path your on the right one for sure.
