I would say the "Court of Three Sisters" in New Orleans, but I don't know if it still exists.

What kind of food? Lafayette is more south central Louisiana but they have tons of great places.

Zeus for greek food.
Don's for seafood and cajun.
Tsunami for sushi.

There is also Mulates in Breaux Bridge for good cajun.

Any of the Copeland's restaurants are a good bet. I know there is one in Lake Charles and one in Lafayette.

Also Steamboat Bill's (yes, I know the name is kind of cheesy) in Lake Charles is amazing for their seafood. They have the best fresh crabs.
