could be a bad sensor check your engine codes it will tell you. your air to fuel could be off, auto zone and auto stores will do it for free

Hi,

Try the following:

a. Make sure your maintenance is up to date, i.e. air filter, PVC valve, fuel filter, O2 sensor.

b. Adjust the "idle screw' located on th throttle body to increase and decrease engine idle speed.

c. If the "Check Engine" light is on, take it in to AutoZone or any other auto parts store and hook up the ECU reader to it to check for trouble codes.

c. Check and/or replace your timing belt.

Your question is good, but just not enough information...all vehicles are different...depends if its, carburated, TBI, or MFI, also i would like to know, what the year, make model, and mileage, and if any lights are on..such as the service engine soon, or check engine, or any others...also need to know if this happened suddenly or did something happen...Fill me in...gotspeed7883@yahoo.com
