I want to know this because next year in (2008) Im going to be 15yrs. old, and I dont want to have the huge traditional 15 year old birthday party! All I want is the equipment that a mobile DJ needs, so i can start working as a DJ for any kind of special occacions. Im 14 right now and I just want to know how old I have to be to work as a DJ so i can buy whatever i want. so i dont have to asking my mom for money now she would be able to ask me for what she needs! THANK!!!

the earlier you start, the better. I don't know what kind of genre you want to work with (rap, dance, techno, etc) but practice your mixing as much as you can! and also read about how to be a DJ there are lots of places online.

age doesn't matter as much as talent and getting your name out there, so good luck and work hard! :)

Start doing party's now. I don't think there is a set age, but who knows. It's great that you know what you want to do. Get out there and have fun learning.
