Iraq is definitely a terrorist training camp, but it's important to recognize that it's INCREMENTAL to the training camps in the Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Al Qaeda and the Taliban's headquarters has simply relocated to Pakistan - and since Musharraf refuses to crack down on them, and Bush refuses to hold Musharraf accountable - they have completely regained strength and organization, enough that they have regained much of the ground they had lost in Afghanistan and Al Qaeda has rebuilt its command and control.

Most of the people fighting the U.S. in Iraq are Iraqis. Before our invasion, Iraq played a virtually insignificant role in global terrorism. Sure, Saddam paid off a few Palestinian suicide bombers. But read the 9/11 commission report and the accompanying report on the financing of 9/11 and you'll consistently see mention of Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Pakistan - and nothing about Iraq or Iran. Most of the foreigners we are fighting in Iraq are Saudi - encouraged to be there by Saudi royal-supported senior clerics.

Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism when invaded but now it has become a magnet for Jihadis wanting a shorcut to 21 virgins in paradise by killing infidel Americans. Dont forget terrorist organizations were a creation of the Americans, Saudis and the Porkistanis to fight the Soviets. The main problem now is that terrorists continue to organize regroup and launch attacks from the Porkistani tribal areas. The problems faced by Afghanistan is external (Porkistan) while Iraq is totally a different ball game. Busharaff being a military dictator has no popular support especially in the border areas.

Absolutely Iraq is a terrorist state/training ground as well as the terrorist prime recruitment center. lets consider how many Iraqi civilians have been killed since the war started. for every civilian killed a minimum of one terrorist is created. If a foreign army was occupying America, and your mom, dad, wife, etc were killed what would you do stand by and take it or get up and fight back against what you perceived to be the guilty party in your loved ones death. As far as Iraq being a terrorist training camp again absolutely, the men that are performing these attacks are learning skills and tactics they will eventually take out side the borders of Iraq and use them to execute attacks in other countries

NO! Iraq is far from a terroiest state. But you're correct in one area. It has become the biggest LANDING PLACE for teriorist (straight out killers) in the world... Now, why is that? It is because every nation in the region with radical beliefs takes this as their war. (against the west) The way they believe, IT IS THEIR WAR! Radical Islam's ONLY drive in life is to kill all the people who do not believe in their fight. (you would be surprised as to who all that includes) If you think this is wrong, better think a little deeper. The only way a war can be won against people with radical belief's is to eradicate the teachers and teach the teachable something new and different. (in this case, probably start teaching them from birth) THAT IS THE ONLY WAY.

Yes, and our government wants it that way. It gives them an excuse to keep permanent bases in Iraq. When American troops go places, we don't leave. We're still in Germany and Japan. We're still in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Now we'll be in Iraq and Afghanistan for the next 20 years. It is all part of the vast American Empire, and like all Empires before us, we will fall from the top.

Gee, if we stopped struggling with the terrorists, then there could be peace and freedom in the midsection East. Barf. Get a clue. the factor is to no longer combat the terrorists, the factor is to DEFEAT the terrorists. "on the pastime training" would not do a lifeless terrorist any stable. i choose for to win the conflict on Terrorism. Why do no longer you?

"become"?
It's been a terrorist training ground for as long as Saddam Hussein has been there - and with him gone it still is.
