I'm not quite sure if it's the same with cell phones as it is with home phones, but my sister dropped my portable phone in our POOL! Water got in the display and you couldn't even use it. I let the water dry out from behind the crystal by leaving it by our dehumidifier for a couple of days. It did need a new battery though, but now it's okay. Let your phone sit for a while and if that doesn't help, then contact the place you got it from.

TAKE OFF THE BATTERY COVER remove battery..., turn a fan on cell phone and let it blow dry the phone over night. Ideally you should let it dry for 24 hours or so before you use it.

My Dad's phone took a freak dive into a glass of water - and using a fan on it for 24 hours (after shaking out as much water as possible) it worked fine.

DO NOT USE A BLOW DRYER - just use a fan only.
