i mean, we have the net where you can look up for anything your after so why bother posting questions therefor even loosing points? I read of people asking meanings of words which is like, hello??? dictionary....

Sometimes you bally well can't find the thing on the internet, due to the wrong words in searches or something... also, many people learn better when someone explains it to them rather than reading facts from a website or book... plus it's almost like socializing.

I've wondered the same thing. I agree with the other responses. It is kind of funny that you asked this particular question. And it is easier to understand something better if someone explains it in common words.

Sometimes it can take a lot of digging through a lot of pages to find an answer to something so its quicker and more entertaining to post on Y!A

They ask the questions because they don't know the answer. You can answer their questions by sending them to the proper web site without out-right giving them the answer. It is called educating them which leads them to a broader knowledge base.
