I think someone has hacked into my account or something. My sent items appear marked as "read" most of the time. But not every sent email is marked that way. Even when I change my password, this happens. What the heck? Is someone reading my email? Thanks. Kristie

I hardly ever read my own sent emails. I know for a fact this many have not been read by me. Hm, unless I'm sleep walking, and logging on, and reading my own mail....lol

Maybe they are. Can you flag them as unread, go out & then back in & see what happens?

Make sure that you never save your password - so that you always have to key it in everytime. And always logout or signout, that's a good way to go. Lots of security issues here, depending on where you read your email. You could ask the email provider why this is happening. When you sign in/log in, does it tell you when you last checked your mail? And was that at a time when you remember doing it, or when you were in class, or out?

If you only ever check it from one place, say at home, you could ask around. Not putting anyone on the spot, but say you've noticed this & are going to report it in a week because it really bothers you that anyone would be so rude. Ask has it ever happened to anyone else here?

It might make them stop doing it if you - not call them on it, you don't have to do that, but simply say it's been happening, it's upsetting, & you are about to do something official and involve others.

Hackers dont waste time digging around into emails which are basically of no value. I suggest you do a double check so as to not be mistaken on whether or not you have read an email. There is a zero possibility of a hacker doing this.
