She's very earthy, making many innuendoes to the time when Juliet will have her first sexual experience with her future husband. She's loyal and loving, helping Juliet with her secret marriage even though she's actually responsible to Juliet's mother and father. She's a true romantic, believing in love over the demands of family feuds. She's practical, arranging for Friar Lawerence to conduct Romeo and Juliet's wedding. She's very meddlesome, voicing her opinion of everything that's discussed in front of her and warning Romeo not to play fast and loose with Juliet's heart.

She was sort of a comic in the story ....made it humorous at times.
