Why do so many people think all teenagers do drugs?

Some of us have reality in our heads and don't say ALL teenagers...we say some do drugs. What is bothering is that 'some' seems to be growing at a rapid pace. Am I wrong? We see a group of 20 kids one day and they are standing around sharing a roach....what should I think then? 18 out of the 20 are doing drugs?

Most teenagers don't do hard drugs like Heroid, Cocaine, Acid etc. But a lot of teenagers smoked weed, drink, pop pain killers. Nothing that bad.

drug are stupid. they can mess up your whole future. i will NEVER do drugs. people who think all teenagers do drugs are giving in to peer presure. only 11% of teenagers from high and jr high schools. i have learned that from a police officer. no affence but people who do drugs life just might be screwed up. i also learned from a police officer that most crimes lead back to drugs. i lost soeone from drugs and don't want to loose any other great people. like you so if you haven't done drugs never ever do the. think of how it will mess up your future. I WILL NOT EVER GIVE INTO PEER PRESURE!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't stop typing how bad it is for you. also you can make other choices from it. no type of drug is cool. medicine is helpful but taking it too much can kill you. all drug places are after kids who haven't done drugs yet. that is why when you see drug advristizements tey somehow relate to kids. like a video game backround or a name like b kool. thoose people ae ot very smart for selling drug and giving into peer presure. it is one of the really smart choices you will make in your life. the drugs can kill you quicker. i know from an experiance. i really miss that person so i hope you listen to me and do not do drugs

There are about 98% of teenagers in north americathat have tried or do drugs. thats where they get that ffrom. and most teenager r really stupid and still do drugs even though they know that they'll get caught some day and that its really really bad 4 u.

Parents have been made fairly paranoid about drugs watching TV specials and listening to media shrinks, so if you are listless, quiet, rude, hyper, depressed, haven't brushed your hair or your room is a mess, then their minds naturally spring to drugs as a possible explanation.

The media perpetuates the stereotype that teenagers do drugs, have sex, and are generally rowdy and degenerate. "Reality" shows like Laguna Beach and My Super Sweet 16 show spoiled kids who flaunt their sexuality and are overly-misguided when it comes to their friends and money. The media is run by adults, but the ratings are ALL of our responsibilites.

If you're unhappy with the stereotypes, write the show producers of these kinds of shows and tell them you are offended by the portrayals.

Well a lot of teens do drugs. I don't do drugs but I do agree they were getting high before teens were. Arent adults such great examples.

Because they did drugs when they were teenagers. I hope my daughter is so much better behaved than I was as a teen!

I don't know. I've never even thought of doing drugs. Sometimes people can only focus on the bad things and they don't realize that not all of us are like that.

haha seriously. neither me nor my friends do drugs so i dont know where they get the idea that all teens do. but like you said, its the adults (sometimes parents, sometimes people on the internet) who sell/have the drugs. its their fault not ours.
