Have you ever noticed that "christian" is a genre with a different definition than others?

Christian music is a genre based on the content of the lyrics. Other genres are based on the style of the music. Odd?? I just read a book review that said the author was Grisham meets Peretti, but he couldn't decide which genre he wanted to write in. Does anyone else find this odd? Can a book be a thriller / adventure/ mystery AND have Christian values and characters? It seems this reviewer thinks it isn't possible. Life has people that are Christian and _______ -- but it seems we don't like our entertainment to include differing qualities.

no one likes labels. I don't think Jesus would call himself a christian.
