If you're very active, and you are missing periods see a doctor. That stuff is not normal. Take it from me. I was seroiusly active in high school and didn't miss a period. The only great thing about being very active is that you don't get bad cramps when PMS rolls around.

Now if you are taking drugs then that could be something to stop your periods.

The fact that you are questioning this at all means that you are stressing alot which can stop your period or you're pregnant. Stress can cause someone to have irregular periods. Irregular periods are periods that are 28 to 35 days apart and happens every month/

if you begin to realize that your period is becoming irregular or you are missing your period it is becuase your body doesn't have enough of the good stuff to produce your period, or that you simply aren't getting all the nurtrients your body needs. I have had this experience due to a large weight loss. If you begin to loose your period, it is very bad and you should tell someone. If you are going to begin excersizing more then you need to make sure you are eating enough and not losing a lot of weight. Many girls with eating disorders don't get their periods which also causes your bones to become more brittle with every missed period.

very active girls tend to skip periods a lot...my best friend was very active in high school...played volleyball, basketball, helped coach younger teams, and did a lot of camps during the summer and her periods were irregular...she only had one about every other month or even longer...its normal

lots of people lose their periods. Athletes sometimes do because they have to much muscle, body builders lose their periods(well not all the time obviously), some models do because they are too skinny. But it's happened but only if you are WAY underweight or WAY muscley. Hope that helped

Sorry... you cannot "lose" your period... until menopause, or removing your reproductive organs...

Menstruating is part of a woman's life and is NOT MEANT to stop until it decides to stop itself.
