How could it be that I purchased STOCK 17" Ford rims for my car and have PepBoys tell me they don't carry that size tire? p235/55/17

It's not like I'm trying to outfit a set of tractor wheels!!!!!!!!!

These rims and tires come on a freaking 2005 Mustang! There are trillions of Mustangs on the street and they don't have something as simple as a tire for them!?

I understand if I drive in there with a Lamborghini Diablo with 75" rims!! LOL.. but... a MUSTANG?! and they don't have it?!

They say they don't carry it.. period! That is ridiculous. It's not the first time I drive in there with a garden-variety car and they tell me they don't have tires!

.

Hey "Cookieboo"...

PepBoys has so many freaking tires hanging on the wall that the smell of rubber makes me gag. And they also have 10 bays for cars out in the back meant to work expressly on tires. Don't tell me its not the place to get tires if you want to.

Sorry to say, but that's what you get for going to a place like Pep Boys. If you want/need tires for your 2005 Mustang you are better off to get them from your local Ford dealer parts department. The mark-up for tires is so little that you won't be able to get a better price from even a tire dealer.

PepBoys is a auto part store not a tire warehouse. They are like an Autozone. Try going to a tire warehouse to get your tires. Not every place carries tires. That would be like wlking into a general store and asking them to fill your perscription.

a parts store is not the place to make a tire purchase. a parts store is for freakin parts. a tire store is for tires. they are very large businesses built to put tires on cars and trucks of all makes and models.
