The death star gets blown up by Luke Skywalker, which is in the original star wars movie, the 1st movie to appear, but is called Episode 4: A New Hope. The evil empire blows up the planet Alderaan, but that happens closer to the beginning of the movie.
They have to blow up the D-star again in Episode 6: Return of the Jedi.
At the end of Episode 1: Phantom Menace, which is the 4th star wars movie to appear, they blow up the trade federation ship (Droid Control Ship).

At the END of Episode 1 (The Phantom Menace) (4th Star Wars movie made), Anakin Skywalker blows up the NEIMODIAN LUCREHULK-CLASS DROID CONTROL SHIP. At the BEGINNING of Episode 4 (A New Hope) (1st Star Wars movie made), the Death Star blows up ALDERAAN. At the END of Episode 4, Luke Skywalker blows up the FIRST DEATH STAR.

the Death Star 1 duh! in the end of Star Wars IV, Luke Skywalker went through trench (w/ Darth Vader and 2 TIE Fighter piolets behind him shoting at him, when all of a sudden Han Solo shot 1 of the pilets and made the other TIE pilet crash & blow up while Vader's TIE went bazerk.) to the middle of Death Star 1 and shot a torpeado into the Death Star 1 core. He had to get away fast, and then BOOOOM! the Death Star 1 blew up! or if your talking about Episode I (The Fantom Menace) there is no PLANET blew up. it was the driod fedretion control ship. many people think its Allderan, but that was in the begining of Episode IV not the end:) or i could tell you all of the episodes and what happend but that would take a while!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In episode 1 it is a droid control ship, episode 4 is the first death star

Well, if you are talking about the chronological episode 1 then it is the droid federation control ship, if you are talking about episode 4 then it is certainly the Death star.
