How much harder would it be to double major instead of going for just one major? I am possibly attending Youngstown State University and I wanted to double major to become a science and an english teacher.

since you're considering going into education (good for you) i think there will probably be some overlap between the two majors. you'll be required to take a few more courses for them, and have to be dedicated and work hard, but it's nowhere near a superhuman load. good luck- i'm not an expert so consider talking to someone from your specific university when signing up for courses

Most people I know when I was in college (just graduated) either double majored or at least had a minor. For most people it takes an extra year of education, so instead of completing in four years, you'll do five. I went five years, its not bad. You may be able to get done in four if you attend summer school. It really isn't much harder, just have to care about your studies.

I double majored and could have triple majored. It's easy because you have to take 120 credits and most majors require 30 credits, so you can easily do two. But it depends on the school and the program.
