And when I say American, I mean what is the best kind of music to come from America. If so, would you say its part of your culture? I'm doing this for a school project on sociology. Difficult to say. My favorite is Blues, I love Hendrix and Robert Johnson etc.....but I think that the Dead maybe the best band. I am a musician so what people do with music affects how much money I make. I'm Irish. I think a lot of Hip-Hop and Rap is non-music. Strange that the music I love and the music I hate is predominately made by black people. But then again I'm Irish.

For classical, I like Copland and Williams
For rock, I like the Young Rascals, John Melloncamp and Creedence Clearwater
Too bad Niel Young is Canadian, or I would say him.
