Our skunk was fairly easy to take care of but you have to see if you need a permit to have one as a pet in your state. When potty training, you must keep them in a small area or they'll never learn to use the same spot over and over. They constantly forage for food when they're awake. They can open cabinets, drawers, backpacks, purses, etc. with their paws and teeth. Mine unzipped my purse, got in my make-up bag and ate my lipstick. You can't let them go outside unless you're fast enough to catch them because they don't have a homing device. If they get away from you, they can't find their way back home. They can only see about 3 to 4 feet so the only weapon they have in the wild is their smell. A skunk lives an average of 2 years in the wild but can live up to 22 years in the house. They need shots (canine and feline distemper and some others I can't remember) but there is no safe shot for rabies for skunks. We always stayed outside with ours when we let her dig around in the yard. Their nails get long but they're not real sharp like cats are because their main purpose is for digging. Their little eye teeth are REALLY sharp and will puncture your skin. If you have kids, the skunk will get in to their candy, gum, backpacks, etc. so you have to keep things up off the floor.

No skunk but I had little brothers that could make a lot of noise after eating beans.

ive heard they can be pretty destructive with their sharp claws.
talk to a breeder if youre genuinely interested.
descented skunks are probably expensive, not to mention you have to check if an exotic pet like that is allowed where you live.

I dont personally have one, but I may get one once I move into my own house. From what I have heard they are almost like a cross between a ferret and a cat
