Some guy has been texting me, and it's getting kinda creepy. I think it's just one of my friends messing with me, but either way I've stopped talking to them. Is there a way to figure out who the cell number belongs to, so that I can tell this jerk to leave me alone?

Nope. Law enforcement aren't even allowed access to that kind of information unless your life has been seriously threatened. Otherwise, it's illegal to even try. So I'm calling the cops because you're invading on other people's privacy.

If there is a way Id like to know as this also has happened to me. Dont answer anymore and give it a bit of time, then use someone elses phone and call the number, you can then try to find out the name of the person or you may recognise the voice.

if you were smart, because it might be someone out to get you and the way you asked with the word cell,I thought maybe someone calling from prison. You dont know . I would report it to the police. They can check it out and let you know also scare the other thats bothering you. for your own safey call the police. If it persists, then they will take care of business.

Sometimes if you just type the name into Google it gives you the persons name. Only sometimes though.
