It could be a lot worse! Burns of any nature need to be cleaned every day! Our skin has 3 layers of skin tissue. A second degree burn means that you have burned two layers of skin. You will heal however it may take a while depending on the severity of the burn. A third degree burn requires skin grafts because there is literally no skin left to re-grow in that area. Just keep it clean daily. Burns are can get infected very easily.

not two bad (ha, ha).

A first degree burn is where the skin turns red, like a sunburn.

A second degree burn is where blisters form. DO NOT POP THE BLISTERS!!! This can just lead to infection, because the blisters are over open wounds. I have had a second degree sunburn before. You could tell where the blisters had been. After they popped on their own, the skin was not as tan.
