To be honest with you, the more you do it...the more you get used to it and you barely flinch at all! This may sound really weird, but take a warm washcloth, and fold it lengthwise over your eyebrows for a few minutes - it should make the plucking less painful. Or...if you're REALLY good at plucking your eyebrows, you can buy Nair - the kind that's specifically designed to remove eyebrow hair, anyways - it's a lotion that you leave on for a few minutes and then wipe off; it removes the hair. Just make sure you aren't allergic to it, first!

You can visit your local beauty salon for eyebrow waxing and pay $$

OR

You can use Orajel (yes that's right and it works like a charm) to numb the brow area first and then start plucking away. The Orajel can be found without prescription at your local pharmacy or regular retail store.

And when plucking BE SURE to TWEEZE the hair in the SAME direction it grows in (when your eyebrows are waxed they pull the hair in the opposite direction) because that is also a way to help ease discomfort while plucking them.

i personally get mine waxed..sure it stings for a few seconds, but they put on a cooling cream and all..it just gets it all over with super quick..

as far as plucking goes though, either ice your eye brow area before or use Oragel (the stuff you use for a toothache that numbs the area)..just put a little bit on your eyebrows and give it a second to kick in & it'll make the whole process a lot less painful and a lot easier!

also, get some good tweezers, don't use the cheap ones. i like Tweezerman tweezers..they're more expensive but they're well worth it!

Good luck!

Plucking is not a good idea , try threading for your eyebrows, once you got the shape you will love it and for sure no pain.
It is a proven method and you will have great looking eyebrows,

there are several ways to get ur eyebrows done besides plucking. there is waxing which hurts a little too put its alot faster & is usually done in one shot so its not THAT bad....

then there is threading. almost like plucking but they pull out the hair with thread. again a little painful but done faster than plucking. i only know a few ppl in my area that do it but u can ask around.

last is shaving! COMPLETLY painfree!!!! they sell little shavers now made especially for eyebrow shaping. noxema puts them out so u can find them @ cvs or target. only downside is u have to do it more often that plucking....

goodluck!

You can always have them wax and it the pain is only a second and its alot faster, or I know a few woman who shaves them, and then draws eyebrows . I don't like plucking either, but the wax I will do because its faster.

Okay, here's my advice, right after you pluck it out put pressure on the spot you plucked from. it helps stop the pain. but i have to say, there is not a lot of pain at all. if its too much for you you can always get them waxed. thats what i've learned to do! hope my advice helps!

You might want to try numbing the area with some ice before you pluck. Make sure you Pull the skin around the follicle your plucking that way you won't pull your skin and that's what hurts!

Well, one of my friends cuts them (I don't know how she does it...) and the others wax them or pluck them. Another solution is shaving them off and using eyebrow pencil- hopefully, it doesn't come to that though!
