The number of time varies, depending on the brand and its ability to detect a certain level of the pregnancy hormone as a byproduct of urine.

Some tests are accurate at three days or even longer before a missed cycle, while others must be used at the date or afterward.

A blood test is the most accurate pregnancy test because it can detect the hormone in small quantities within the bloodstream. It can also be performed at the earliest date, long before a missed cycle.

its accurate if the test is 99% accurate or not but some tests u can do as soon as u missed a period 2 get an accurate reading if still shows negative and still not had ur period then u go for a blood test at the doctors and they will give an accurate reading if u are pregnant or not

There are test you can take up to 5 days before your expected period that are more sensitive then other test to HGC, and regular test can be used as early as the first day you miss your period. But just a thing to keep in mind.. I thought I was pregnant and took the test and because I was so early and my HGC levels werent that elevated yet I got a super faint line and couldnt really tell weither it was a shadow or a positive.. so I would suggest waiting two or three days after the missed period ... but if you really have to know and want to take a chance then you can test as early as 5 days before with first response or other products like that.

I would say atleast a week after but some tests can detect up to 5 days before. It all depends on the sensitivity of the test. Your best bet would probably be 4-7 days after.
