We were there before the civil war. Understand something, because those stupid fools in congress don't, this whole civil war thing is being instigated by Iran. Do you know who they are? they are the evil little bastards who are keeping the whole middle east off balance. These are the Persians who are hated and mistrusted by the Arabs, even more than the Americans.

This whole matter would be resolved if we simply brought Iran to it's knees, and not in a nice way! They need to be taught that the US is a tolerant nation, and will even take a lot of abuse and criticism because of it's size and involvement! Iran keeps antagonizing the US, and causes death to American troops, and thinks that it is a big player in the scheme of things.

It's now to the point that the US is really getting pissed with Iran. When this happens, shiit happens, and it will happen to Iran.

There's not much those disgusting geriatrics in congress, Murtha and Pelosi, can do about it if GWB decides that he's had enough. I just hope that GWB has the stones to pull out all the stops, if he does go after Iran. It must be fast, it must be complete, and it must eliminate Iran from further meddling in other middle eastern country's!

The "wisdom" you speak of is 20/20 - which, unfortunately, is always after the fact.

The wisdom at the time was solid - initiate a democratic society in the Middle East and perhaps this would go a long way in stabilizing the region.

If this policy is successful, you will look back upon your question with 20/20 wisdom and ask yourself, "What the hell was I thinking?"

There is no wisdom, but there is a moral imperative. We are the cause of the civil war in Iraq. They had a stable government, we went in looking for WMD and took their government apart, the country then spiraled into civil war, one that we caused.

While it may not be wise to stay in the middle of it, what is the real moral alternative? Are we not a responsible enough country to clean up our own mess?

And please don't say it is all Bush's fault, we elected him (weather we voted for him r not) and so We as a nation must bear the burden

Historically, how did it pan out for other countries? Consider Russia with the U.S. Civil War, for example.

there isn't any wisdom in that. Civil Wars happen, always have, probably always will but hopefully not (world peace).

I'd say most of the questions on Yahoo Answers politics have little to do with reality.

There is no wisdom in that, it's futile. And, our Psychopath president is just sending in more troops to become targets for the psychopath extremists over there.
