Sprint and Verizon both offer broadband wireless that works virtually anywhere for about $40/month.

If the school does not give wireless internet access, then there's no way you
could connect to it without wires, unless you were to go and ask the school to set up a wireless network.

If you really want wireless internet, you can try and go with EVDO or Wifi. The problem is that these services are not free.

Here's a link to check out wifi:

EVDO, which is supposedly faster and more expensive:

Wireless internet is not as secure as conventional internet access, because you're sending data through the air. A skilled hacker could easily access your computer and install viruses and such, so it is not a good idea to use wireless internet if you don't have security software installed.

EDIT: I see. If your school DOES have wireless internet, you can use a wireless card (PCI Express Mini Card, for example) to access it, if you know the network password.

Macbook should already have wireless but if it doesn't get a USB plugin. NetGear or LinkSys.

You'll need to know what form of wireless encryption the school uses and the ID. You should be able to get these from whoever runs your computer program at the school.

Unless your school is going to provide a wireless service to the students, you're going to have to subscribe to a wireless Internet provider. Probably one through your cell company would be your only option as the school probably won't allow you to install hardware and antennas on their property.

verizon wireless offers a service but it is $600.00 to start up. Do your parents have a lot of money? Why do you need an internet service in class? Don't you have teachers anymore?
