What is the best way to get the water to stay in the shower and not all over the floor when you have a curtain/liner vs a shower door. I've always had shower doors before and now I find that the water gets all over the floor even when the curtain/liner is drawn shut. I'm tempted to get a door, but since I rent I didnt' want to invest that much money into my bathroom. Any suggestions on types of curtains, liners, rods that may help this matter?

Moen makes a curved shower rod called te crescent rod. Its u shaped and gives the appearance of more space in the shower. It is about $55 and you can get it in a few finishes. It will keep the water in better because it extends over the shower in a different manner.

It sounds like you made your first move into your own place. Congratulations! Now tuck the curtain inside the tub - at least while you shower. There are no other tricks other than that. A shower curtain liner will prevent you from having to replace the curtain (just replace the liner).

Enjoy your new place - and have fun buying crazy stuff to decorate!

If you have a metal tub, like I do, purchase a liner that has magnets in the bottom on the liner. This keeps the liner inside the tup, and the water off the floor!

The plastic curtain liner goes inside the bathtub and the fabric shower curtain goes on the outside.

Make sure the inside liner is inside the tub and is closed tightly against the wall where the shower head is spraying. Move the shower head to the center and down, to avoid water spraying everywhere. Make sure you leave the inside liner inside the tub to avoid the water from dripping down after your done.
