Couldn't you ask university professors to be your phone-a-friends?
Or have your phone-a-friend be on Wikipedia ready to search for the answer?
Or have your audience person give you signals if they know the answer?
Is that cheating?

Sure, you could have anyone for a phone-a-friend, but that can only be useful one time. As for the Wikipedia, I wouldn't always trust everything on there. I'm sure people did phone friends who were waiting nearby a computer. Getting help from the audience in other methods besides the polling would constitute as cheating. You could probably do a search on Charles Ingram, who won the top prize on Millionaire in the UK. He was accused of cheating. His wife was in the audience and would cough as he talked aloud "pondering" the questions. It was crazy to see him flip-flop on some answers with the assistance of the coughing which could be heard quite clear on air. I think it went to the high courts and they were found guilty.

The best bet would be to give a mate's number and have all your cleverest pals gathered in his house with the speaker-phone on.Somebody would know the answer.Much better than ONE professor who might be useless on Pop or Sport. I don't think that you would have time to look on Wikepedia (practise it). The contestant can't see the audience, that's why Major Inghams mate had to use coughs.Keep trying!

Well of course you can have anyone as a phone a friend and i'm sure that they have their computers set up and ready to go.....signals fromthe audience yes that would be cheating. You only get to phone a friend once...

i dont imagine it became cancelled if so i imagine the contestant that did it shoulda were tooken off megan's love life shouldnt were placed on carry cuz someone had sum to do with the homicide yet when it became cancelled per chance cuz the element that got here about with a body murdered interior the suitcase

i thought i heard that all of your phone-a-friends were shut up in some room so they couldn't look stuff up. i don't know if that's true or not. somehow, it doesn't seem true!
personally, i wouldn't trust wikipedia!
