Sorry to have to write to you - but I do not know what to do and desperately need answers. I am writing this from my parents flat - but they want to kick me out of their place this Friday and I need accomodation badly in Dublin, Ireland. I have even gone to the local community welfare officer but she did not offer me anything at all apart from a homeless shelter no which left me highly depressed and in tears and was I left feeling even more stressed than before as I do not want to put the child at risk since she told me it wasnt recommend. My name is Barbara - am 26, Irish, I have fallen unexpectantly pregnant - I am now 12 wks gone, baby due on Sept 8/9th 2007, I was working in Microsoft - but the 6 month contract expired at the end of Jan. at the same time as my job expired the flat did too.I am pregnant by a man who is not being v supportive - he lives in London - and not helping me out financially. I do not want to have to adopt cos of a lack of money- I want to do everything for it

Looking at your other questions, all I have to say is -- yikes.
Anyway.
Have you at least contacted the shelter? They'd likely be the best ones to go to for help in _avoiding_ ending up there on Friday.
I hate to ask, but are there homes for 'unwed mothers' there? Might be an acceptable short-term option; beats a shelter, I'd expect.
Finally, do you have anything you can pawn for rent until you find another job? If you're 26 and living with your parents, can't you fall back on credit cards or savings until work picks up again? Do you have any friends you can hit up for loans?

ok, so you knew that the contract with microsoft was up in january and you can't find a job let alone in a month and a half?? I'm sorry if I sound really mean right now, but you made your bed and you need to sleep in it, at least the welfare office gave you a option to stay at a homeless shelter, at least thats a roof over your head. I'd suggest taking there offer up at the shelter get yourself a nice job and move on, don't come to us people on the net trying to get some sympathy, next time your with a guy keep your legs closed, we all know that all men are jerks when were not married to them.

This sounds very mean! Sorry! If I was you I would get an abortion or live with a relative, my aunt was pretty much in the same situation as you and she lived with my great aunt for about 6 months, found a job by three months, and then bought an apartment.

I would say, go toa church and seek help there. Even if you don't attend church at all or that one they are very generous and will help you more than you know. I am sorry about your situation, but have you talked to your parents about it? I don't think they should kick you out while you are pregnant, but if they do, you are better off without them helping you. Check with churches and see if they can hook you up with some other resources. Good Luck

Do your parents know ur pregnant? I think its real mean to kick your pregnant daughter out with no where to go. But dont listen to the person who said to get a abortion, abortions are murder and are wrong. You should file for child support when your baby is born and take him for all he's got because he sounds like a big jerk. But if your parents dont know ur pregnant than tell them as soon as possible, maybe they wont kick you out than.

Do your parents know that you are pregnant? I cannot imagine parents who would put their pregnant daughter out on the street! The issue about the man not helping is as common here in the U.S. as it is anywhere else. If your parents won't help you, go to your church. They won't turn you away.
