Lots of tips however don't know what part of the country you are in.
Get rid of all your lures and get some tubes. You'll catch more fish.
Cats are warm water and spawn in mid to late fall in typical rivers and lakes. It is a myth that they feed only at night. They are actually more active during the day.
Bass usually spawn as the cherry and dogwood blossoms come out and that is usually the best time to catch them. (Of course here in PA it is catch and release only at that time of year) Perch are best jigging off the bottom with minnow or worm. Best time to fish for the "Big Boys" about an hour after dark plugging the shore line.
Northern are good with the tubes or a large spinner. IM and I'll send you the pictures of mine.
Need more info on what you are looking for.
This question should be listed in the OUTDOOR section of yahoo answers.

lol, catfish are the greatest thing to catch. what i do was just this, at night, just before i get in the tent, i get a peice of raw meat. like beef roast, bait my hook with it, attach a heaver weight, so it will sink to the bottem, leave it over night, i had catfish when i woke up. lol, sounds wierd i know, but it works.
also, bass fish like shiny things, i ALWAYS use shiny little tackle with worms, and i get bass all the time. have fun!!! waleye, perch, and nothern pikes, i have no idea about, but maybe some one else does. good luck!!!

For walleye, thread a few pieces of cooked corn onto a hook and use it as a lure. If you lose that lure, you won't shed many tears.
