I think you mean Buster Edwards... He committed suicide by hanging in 1994.
Buster Edwards (born Ronald Edwards) (1932 - November 28, 1994) was a former boxer, nightclub owner, and member of the gang that committed the Great Train Robbery. He was captured in 1966 and sentenced to 15 years in jail. After his release in 1980 he later ran a flower stall outside Waterloo Station. He was played by Phil Collins in the 1988 film Buster.

Do you mean Buster Edwards? Buster Douglas was a boxer. Buster Edwards was involved in the "Great Train Robbery"... he received 15 years in prison in died in 1994 (suicide).

Buster Edwards ran a flower stall near Waterloo Station for several years after his release from Prison. In 1994 the authorities planned to move his stall as part of Jubilee Line rebuild. He was found in his "lock-up" under the archs at the railway station, having hung himself a couple of days earlier.
I assume your question was prompted by the showing of the 1988 film "Buster" on BBC 1 tonight.
