Put a towel in very hot water, wring out , apply to sticker and hold it there for a while. Then pull as much of the sticker off as possible. Then apply alcohol, vinegar or ammonia to the part that is still there. Do not mix these, just try one at a time. If that fails buy a bottle of Goo Be Gone which is very effective on sticky , gluey substances.

Anything with solvent action will dissolve the glue and shouldn't harm the stainless steel. Try any of the following: eucalyptus oil, methylated spirits, WD-40. Once the glue is removed/dissolved clean the appliance as normal to remove any grease

I've used an excellent product called "Goof Off." It removes adhesive residue, tar, grease, and ever bubble gum.
I found it in a paint store, and have also seen it at Home Depot.
