I sleep way too much. I can't seem to get up whem my alarm goes off. I can't wake up to regular alarm clocks. I had a buy a trucker's alarm (it's louder than the fire alarm in my dorm room) and it atleast wakes me up, but I still don't get up. Even when I get the 8-9 hours I'm supposed to, I still fall back asleep almost immediately for another 3-4 hours. It's insane.
Is there something wrong? Am I just lazy? What can I do to stop sleeping so much?

Thanks.

I'd see a doctor if I were you. I've heard that sleep apnea can cause the symptoms you describe. You sleep a long time but aren't rested. Might be worth a search on the web. Definitely see a doctor. You aren't lazy.

Try this. Place your alarm across the room from your bed. You have to get up to get to it. Only use the snooze. If you go back to sleep you have to get up again.

You need an insentive. Try loosing a job, or getting kicked out of school or your parents say no more money until you wake up.

You aren't just lazy. There are many causes for excessive sleepiness such as you are describing, and they only way to really properly figure out the cause is through a doctor.

You're probably just tired. It happens to me a lot too.Just make sure you get to bed early and it should help in waking up.

maybe you should spend more time sleeping and less time being quizzical about why you can't sleep.
