I certainly hope she didn't. The sentence is excessive. The guy cut her off in traffic twice. She threw a cup for Pete's sake - a cup of ice.
Lesson learned. She is a mother raising her kids alone as her husband is in Iraq. She's been in jail for a freaking month.
I have to wonder if race played an issue (and FYI - I'm white, and I still think she got a raw deal).

Was she guilty? Yes.
Was she wrong to throw the cup? Absolutely. She was lucky that the driver of the other car didn't lose control.
Is 2 years excessive punishment? Probably, but it was the minimum in the case, the jury had its hands tied.
Did she get the 2 years because she was black? If a white person was found guilty, since it was the minimum penalty, at least the same penalty would apply. The question is; in the same circumstances, would a white person been charged or found guilty? One can't say with certainty that this is the case. You would have to know the hearts and minds of the arresting officer, the D.A. and the jury.
This would be a good publicity case for clemency from the Virginia governor; no one injured-lesson learned, no priors, mother of 3 children, wife of Iraqi soldier... It has win-win written all over it.

sems a bit unfair she should complain
how would /could she do that when all the lawyers are sell outs

I hope her race has nothing to do with this.
I think it is because she had the bad taste to go into a McD's.
