Yeah, it's a problem. I know the UK has a HUGE issue with this:
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymail.co.uk%2Fpages%2Flive%2Farticles%2Fnews%2Fnews.html%3Fin_article_id%3D404898%26in_page_id%3D1770%26ico%3DHomepage%26icl%3DTabModule%26icc%3DNEWS%26ct%3D5&ei=KJjbRaagGYaUgAT75-CaCQ&usg=__roSlpLCc2ggq0GprdjNIZfWQJjk=&sig2=9u-4Hzi0scEqOY4Dj_c98Q
That's the Warren Blackwell case where he was falsely accused of rape yet his accuser is still protected by the law (i.e., unnamed and unaccountable for anything that she did to his life or to others) for reasons that don't particularly escape my understanding.
Why is accountability low? Presumptions of innocence as a result of social customs and people always shooting their mouths about "A woman wouldn't do that. Why would a woman put herself through that?" The worst part is that men probably support it more than women because of a little thing, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not, feminists, called CHIVALRY (If you really need a definition, I'll inform you that I'm using the popular one that relates to Victorian ideals. You can look those up in an encyclopedia if you like).
The day you're waiting for probably won't be coming for a little while, but the playing field will have to even out sooner or later, one way or another.
EDIT: Wow, I can't believe people are really saying there aren't cases where women aren't held accountable. Click the link I provided and be AMAZED!

The unfortunate thing is, this has been happening since the beginning of time. Women have mistreated men continuously. But now they continuously try to turn everything that is evil against men. Like today, one woman will be raped and a host of damaging laws will be drafted by politicians looking for votes. Yet men in general are being targeted and accused of having no morals and infinitely evil. So obviously men must be evil and need to be controlled. NOPE !! Along come confused and damaged feminists and abuse the already bias system towards men.

Its because people are afraid to not believe a woman's story of rape and abuse. The misuse of laws is never justified and every woman should have integrity and character but we have learned that sometimes in order to be heard fairly we must manipulate others. Its really sad but not something that is going to change anytime soon. Some men still treat us like we are worthless except for making his food and having his babies so in return we manipulate and use unfair tactics to get our way as well. It is part of a survival instinct that have come down after centuries of oppression and that we are afraid to let go of for fear that things may return to the way they were.

In a utopia, all men and women would have integrity and character, and there would not be any violence. Instead, we're in a society where some of the people are crazy and/or dishonest, both men and women. Some Americans are violent. Laws are made and enforced both fairly and unfairly. Some customs and laws are bad for women, some laws and customs are bad for men, often they don't work well for anyone. If you don't like how things work, quit blaming others and do something about it.

are you referring to false accusations? they are, btw, no higher than false accusations for any other crime. i'm not sure it's any easier to get away with, so many rapes go unprosecuted for lack of evidence. as to abuse charges, that really is a stickler... where i live, the D.A. has the choice to prosecute and they ALWAYS will, even if the woman admits to lying to the cops that came to the scene.
but actually reporting the crimes (the REAL ones) are lower. so they should use these laws as intended & stop being silent.

Frankly, I think this problem would diminish considerably if women that make false accusations were subject to the same penalties as a rapist. Bring charges, go to trial, if convicted, they would get the same sentence as a rapist.
Wouldn't that stop a lot of bullsh*t? Also, think of the money and resources that would not be wasted. Hmmm...

I'm sorry but what in the heck are you talking about?
Your question is very difficult to answer because there is. I mean, if a woman falsely accuses a man of rape she'll get in trouble. So what is your point? Have you been victimized? Are you feeling like a martyr or a victim? I'd love to know what your problem is.

Because the minute you question whether a woman is lying you're automatically accused of condoning rape, and you'll make the National Organization for Wretches come out of the woodwork and give you a verbal beatdown.
Before someone is punished for a crime, there had BETTER be proof that the crime was committed!

I wish women would take some lessons from some top marketing experts and they would go forward and prosecute all of the rapes and the domestic violence and harassment that they have to endure. They won't stay silent because they are young and scared, or afraid of losing their jobs that they need to feed their children because there is such a proliferation of dead beat fathers around. You keep spouting your nasty venom and it will eat you alive from inside. That I promise you and you don't need an marketing expert to prove it.
You need to stop making up all these silly lies to try and prove that women are bad. The simply are not you are just afraid of them and this engenders the fear of domination that you exhibit every time you post. You are intimidated because they make you feel small and your self esteem is such this is the only way you can vilify your feelings.

Women ARE accountable. For example this woman:
http://www.falserape.net/
Wants to stop the rampant false rape allegations made by women.
Because this woman is accountable it means that all women should be considered accountable, even though she wants more women to be accountable because they aren't.
