Because the situation in Iraq was much bigger than just getting rid of Saddam.
Sunni and Shiite have been warring for a very long time.
Iran has always had a stake in Iraq.
Our foresight was absent.
We had no "out" plan.
Unilateral initiative for war against most of the wishes of tons of people around you.
They don't want us there.
Clearly oil was in play.

The war is "bad" because it has shattered trust in our government, i.e. the reasons for going to war, to disarm a threat to the U.S.
Secondly this isn't some obscure country in the tropics; Iraq is an oil producing nation in a very volatile region of the world, the Middle East. The threat of a wider confrontation involving Israel & Iran is a very real possibility.
If Iraq falls into complete chaos, Iran WILL step in & more than likely reunite the two countries (which was once Persia). This may not be a bad idea, but under Iran's current Theocracy, it could mean trouble for Israel & any allies of the United States.
Over 3000 American lives have been lost & billions of dollars spent, I wouldn't call that a good thing.
In my opinion the Iraq war is bad for the simple fact it has made us less secure at home, destabilized an entire region, & greatly damaged our image in the international community. America is not a well like nation abroad.
Thanks for the opportunity to express my views.

It depends were you stand if you are a pacifist you only like peace and if you are a republican war always makes you money. Its sad to see people make money off a war. But the blame is on our leader when people are fighting and they don't remember why there is a problem. How much change has come since 9/11.

any war is bad. It cost us tons of money that could be used in far better ways. It cost the lives of so many of our young people that haven't even had a chance to live yet. It doesn't solve anything. It causes permanent scars mentally on the ones that are lucky enough to make it out alive and the ones that are disfigured and missing parts of their bodies. Is that enough?

It's bad because we shouldn't have been there in the first place. No Iraqi was involved in 9/11, We should have put all our efforts into Afghanistan and catching Osama Bin Laden who was responsible for 9/11.

because saddam had a tight cap on his chemical weapons.(which the u.s. gave to him) with him gone u r sure to find some of those weapons. saddam would have never given them to terrorists. (he had them for his protection) if he had it is likely the terrorists would have used them on saddam. he was hated by most jihadists. but with saddam gone, how many of those weapons will now end up in the hands of terrorists?
