Yes, i do think that Ciara is trying to be the new Aliyah. Her music sounds like Aliyah's and her dance moves are definitely inspired by Aliyah.

The important word in your question is 'trying' there is no way she can replace the wonderful and memorable Aliyah... yes I do think Ciara is trying to be a wanna be but she is not gonna succeed because Aliya had a fantastic presence about her!

U know what..I never thot about it..but hey ! it could be ! Just pictured Ciaras vids and i guess u got a point there ! some of the moves are just like Aaliyahs (RIP) but then again...so many celebs these days copy one another, in terms of music, moves, clothes etc etc, so..maybe sometimes they dont really try hard to copy but they just are influenced..! whatcha think? Yeah. they just could be influenced. Ciara cud be one of them. As for Rihanna...nothin in her music resembles Beyonce...so why do ppl say Rihanna is B's copy? In terms of looks? just becoz Rihanna is light skinned too an has light brown eyes like B? come on ppl. its not RIhannas fault that her looks are of that smae category as Beyonces. But if u wanna talk about copying someone consciously..its Beyonce tryin to be a Black J.Lo. Just check out her moves...eg. in Crazy in Love not only her hairdo is like J.Los but the dance she does...(J.lo in Glad). Then think of big parties the 2 ladies have attended...Beyonce either dressed or had a hair style like J.Lo...or is it subconscious influence too> hehheee.
Ciara is hot anyway. (am straight) :)

Originally, I got a strong Aliyah vibe from her, I thought it was a natural mix of sexiness & almost a tomboy thing. With her current album it seems like she trying to be more of a cookie cutter version of Riahnna who herself is a copy of Beyonce.

Yeah i agree...but no matter how hard she tries she can't get close to Aaliyah.. Aaliyah has more of the xfactor in all catagories when it comes to comparing two talented artist against each other...She is one of my favourites...R.I.P Aaliyah
