Wow...it really sucks to look for colleges, doesn't it? I graduate from high school this year - it's a good thing that you know sort of what you want to do. Your main focus should be on your major at first; look at what a variety of colleges offer you in terms of academics and how far you are willing to go in that particular field. Send out for brochures, check out sites, ask people that have actually attended the college if you can, or try to find out what others think of a particular college. Then focus on the money and location - it's somewhat easier if you find yourself liking certain colleges and then narrowing them down to a more realistic approach. Also, when looking, keep an eye out for scholarships that they offer - that in itself is a MAJOR shoe-in. Keep your eyes and mind open, and don't be afraid to ask A LOT of questions! Good luck!

A number of factors will determine what school you should pick, I would first look for all schools that have a Lacross team, if you are good at it look at Division 1 schools, if you are so-so in Lacross then look at Division 2 schools. if you are straped for cash go to a State college and live in the dorms. If you have good grades and lots of cash pick the best school for the subject you want to study. What ever you do don't waste your time going to Jr. College unless you have no other choice. Good Luck.

Look at www.collegeboard.com, www.princetonreview.com, and the Fiske Guide to Colleges (book; found at school/public library, or can buy...)

They can all help you narrow down schools to a more "reasonable" number. Also, your school's college counseling department should be of assistance here.
