He probably won't stab someone again, so that is not the problem. The problem is that he has been conditioned to life in prison. Dating him in the real world can open up a nasty can of worms. Only you can decide how comfortable you are with him and his social skills. Don't expect him to be comfortable in a variety of settings. So let's say you want to go to a bar or club with him, you might be asking for trouble. Expect him to be uneasy in certain situations and places. Just don't try to be his personal embassador to the "real world". You will drain and exhaust yourself and also train him to be dependent on you and very needy. Good Luck.

If they have life in prison no I'm not going to waste my life sitting around with them. Not saying I won't be a friend and correspond to make life in prison a little less lonelier, but I'm not going to sit around saying we're an item or even stand a chance. If you're married thats different. Then you're kind of commited unless you decide you want a divorce. It depends how you feel about this person. But its depends if you're comfortable staying with such a violent person. I'd be scared. They might turn and try to kill you!

I would stay with them for a year, then I would seriously talk to my husband telling him, that our marriage is over, if he jeopardize out marriage in order to commit some violent crime, then he is not the person I thought he was., and I would just stay ith him for a year, till he adapts a bit, and make him feel he has company. I would visit him four times a year after that.

Stay but as a friend that way you can still see other people and stay with them the person you find just has to respect the fact that you two still talk to each other if he goes to jail just comfront them (when they is for sure guilty because they might think you thought for sure they will go to jail) about seeing other people

Still depends. In some States you can go to jail for self defense. If thats the case I would stay with them. If it was an actual self defense justifiable killing and they have fallen victim to the liberal idea that you cant defend yourself with deadly force, stay and love them for they will need it. For any other reason, see ya baby!

My cut-off would involve any amount of violence, and certainly first degree murder! I couldn't stay with someone like that even if he served little or no prison time...I would be too afraid his violence might someday be aimed at me (or my loved ones).

If they didn't have proof that he actually committed the crime, and he said he didn't, I'd do everything in my power to prove him innocent.
People have been wrongly convicted, and framed, before. I wouldn't believe something just because some cop told me it happened. I wouldn't believe something just because some cop got a jury to believe it, either.
That's what's so very wrong with the death penalty--they have been wrong--and it's too late to do anything about it. I have very little faith in the criminal justice system. They have been proved corrupt in very many cases.
