I am a Security supervisor at a food plant. I would like to have some training ideas to teach my officers.
and maybe some exsamples of bad security involving a food plant.

I suggest giving them possible scenarios and then asking for input as to what they should do. Then go over the correct procedures.

You can also type up some scenarios and then put the students into small groups. Ask them to write the procedure that they would use for the problem.

Tell them that it is ok to make mistakes in the exercise; the practice will be so that they can look at the experience and knowledge that they have and then make progress. Also, making a mistake during a practice is nothing... making a mistake during the real thing could even cost a life.

For examples of bad security it might be fun to make a video of someone doing the job badly. It will probably be funny, but would get the point across. You could show a guard with his feet up and sleeping, show someone watching TV while "bad guys" walk in... show aspects in the food plant. You can think of other scenes in relation to your plant and perhaps past problems that you have had. While some may be funny you can also show serious situations. They will then know how to handle the problems.
