I had an ultrasound last week at 17 1/2 weeks. My boyfriend couldnt make it and its changing our relationship. How can I make him feel a part of the pregnancy and more importantly will there be another ultrasound and when?

Usually you do not get another ultrasound unless the baby is late or breech or you develop complications (i.e. gestational diabetes). Invite him to other appointments so he can hear the heartbeat. I know some places offer ultrasound for a cost (in malls), but I'm not too sure of their safety. Get him really involved in planning/buying for the baby.

First off, it shouldn't change your relationship. Depending on where you live and the health coverage you have, there may be only one.
I live in Canada. And in my province you only get one, as long as everything looks ok, they wont give you another. If he really wanted to be there and feels left out, ask your doctor if you can get another one, or just look into private clinics to see if you can get another one for a good deal.
Som provinces and other countries may have a lot more than one ultrasound.
Hope I've helped!
Good luck and talk things out with your bf. It's important that you are both there for each other during pregnancy and during your baby's life.
Good luck!!

Unless there is a complication there will be no more ultrasounds. Except right before birth they MIGHT do one to see if the baby's head is in the right place but that is at the very end.... like days before or even hours before birth

The best thing...
Schedule a "4D Ultrasound"
You actually get an hour of VIDEO of the fetus.
You can schedule it anytime after 28 weeks. I can't stress how amazing it is to see your baby's face, hands, feet, toes, and even the sex.

Was it the ultrasound where you found out the sex? If so, that might be your last one. Take him to all your appointments if he gets huffy. You can't change that he was unavailable to come with you.
