All of the major domestic airlines restrict flying the last four weeks of pregnancy (see http://airtravel.about.com/cs/safetysecurity/a/pregnantflyer.htm). Your doctor, of course, might want you to stop flying before that. Another thing that most people don't think about is their insurance carriers--yours might not be too happy if you give birth in an out of network hospital (depending on your coverage) and that could substantially increase the cost of your delivery.
I am due July 12th and will be taking a trip on May 20th that will last about a week. That will put me about seven weeks before my EDD--and after that, I'm not going to chance it (I think I'll be too uncomfortable by then anyway).
If it's work that wants you to go, and you don't want to, tell them that your doctor won't let you. :-) Otherwise, you should be fine since you'll be seven-eight weeks before your EDD.

Is this a domestic or international flight?
Most airline companies have their own set of rules for how far along you can be when flying. Speak with them before booking/paying for any airline tickets. Just be sure to ask, "even if you are allowed to fly, will you still need a certificate from your doctor verifying your health and DD!" I know a few people who have assumed that telling the airline is good enough.....they can turn you away when you go to book in!
best of luck to you :)

Asking the doctor is the best thing to do. I believe that unless you are having any problems, as long as you are flying in a pressurized cabin, you will have no problem. But again, ask the doctor to make sure.

I flew at 7 months. I did get permission from the dr. first. I had a very normal pregnancy, but wanted the ok first. It's always a good idea to let them know.

The FAA regulations say you cannot travel in your third trimester (7+ months). Sounds like you'll be too far along to travel by plane. I would call the airline to see if there's a way you can get a doctor's note to say it's okay to travel, if it is at all possible. Good luck!

Depends on the airlines policy. But I believe for most it's 7 months. You'll have to call customer service and ask.

Usually 36 weeks as long as it's OK with your doctor. Check with the airline as well.
My friend just found out that cruiselines (ships) limit it to 26 weeks. So best to plan ahead.

Pregnant women can fly? I've never seen one flying. Oh well, have fun and don't be shot down as a UFO!
