A mastiff, the gentle giant. Big and strong enough to kill just about anything, but gentle enough to be a family pet. I've got one and he is awesome. I have a 1 month old baby and he's so gentle with him. And anytime he's in the house he lays right at the foot of his crib, his protector. By far the best dog breed.

ferrets!! they are awesome little guys, and great pets :) i loved mine, they were like having brothers and sisters around, lol!!
