It would be an inexpensive, pollution free, renewable energy source.
This would revolutionize the whole world and bring third world countries into the 21st century.
It would eliminate the competition for the oil reserves and virtually eliminate the burning of fossil fuels and the resultant air pollution.
Also, I'd be a very wealthy individual.

Nuclear Fusion in a table top appliance.... I love that scene from "Back to the Future" when Doc opens the De Lorean to reveal a Mr. Fusion device as the power source. LOL.
