It’s fashionable to be a chav these days. I used to think the chavish culture was a symptom of the underclass culture in the UK. The thing that gets to me is that chav language that is raping the good ol’ queens English and comes from the mobile phone shorthand has found its way into young peoples vocabulary. One funny TRUE sorry of some kid wrote on his exam gsce exam paper question " i aint fik i jus don get it yeh!?."
One "fanciful way" of stopping this would be for the government to ban the sms text shorthand forcing people to spell properly and stop using the sickly ethnic hybrid slang that makes us both cringe these days.

It all starts from home, parents and family are more important then you think. If parents were good examples of and taught their children good morals and respect, they would without a doubt implement these skills into society.
I myself am 17 and would like to think that this culture is simply an adolescent phase which you grow out of once you learn responsibility (and get a job).
However you should n't be so vindictive its never good to talk about people in this way and probably shows the hypocrity of british society. If you can't show some manners how do you expect such impressionable minds to do the same?

I wish I knew. and I wish it would stop.
I think it has to do with education and work.
if these people were educated- would finish school, at least till they are 16- and get a job- but really get educated- not get pregnant- then I guess it would stop.
but how to get them to go to school instead of getting knocked up?
I don't know..
and how to make them go to work instead of hanging outside of off-lincences and beating people? I don't know..

Why should we have to stop chav culture? Why should we have to stop anything? People should be allowed to be whoever they want...i totally agree with the ASBOs handed to troublemakers, but not all 'chavs' are like that. And i think the US has their own Chav culture with people that live in trailer parks.
I am absolutely sick of how we should send immigrants back to their country, and how we should forcibly make people of certain religious communities stop wearing their religious dress...and now this bull, telling people to stop wearing hoodies and adapt to a more mainstream British culture. WHY? Please get your head out of your bum and look around....stop stereotyping!
