Definitely not!! I've been the one waiting for the money as a cashier and I always wonder what people are thinking. They get to the front of the line and stand there while their purchase is being put through and then when they are told the total they decide at that point to dig out their wallet/card/coin purse. Are these people surprised that they are expected to pay at the end of the transaction? Consumers are idiots!

Not me!!!! I don't deal in coins...I'm usually the one behind the one that is dealing out 1 penny at a time until they get 19 cents!!!!
I want to let them know that the cashier has plenty of change and won't be needing all those pennies....but, I don't. I wait, patiently until they are done. Why? Cause I soon will become an old codger, too. I'm on the back-side of 50 now..... ;)

No, I like to get in and out. I'm the person behind the old person getting on the bus digging for the right change and trying to see the coins.

It seems that statistically, the persons who dig their coins out, and taking of other people's time are not of the wealthy set, am I right? How about a little bit of patience on your part with people who can't just pull out a piece of plastic, thereby, not taking of your precious time? Children, the elderly, the poor, and the handicapped seem (to me) to comprise 99% of the persons you are gripping about.

It's about time, don't you think, for you to reflect on your character, how you judge those around you? It's time to just slow down, learn a little patience, enjoy life a little, and perhaps, once in a while, dig into your OWN pocket, and assist one of these "traffic binders" so that they don't struggle so much in trying to meet the financial demands of the merchant.

On occasion LOL, i usually just use my debit or credit card but I do the change thing now and then. I think the only thing worse is those jerks who take 50 items through the 10 items or less check out.

Yep that is me! I do it to teach my kids how to count money, so stop your fussing! (j/k)

But seriously, I do that and teach my children how to count money so they don't grow up to be dumb little morons that need a calculator or rely on the cashier to give back correct change, which they hardly EVER do.

Oh yeah, I also take more than ten items in the express lane too. If they didn't want me to do that, then they need to open more than two lines on a sunday afternoon.
