Gods above and below, I wish more women shared your attitude. But to answer your question, it's all about the jealousy. Most seem to think that marriage is like landing the big one; once that's done, it's yours, right? Well, the days of the marriage certificate equaling a title of ownership are numbered, but most people seem to think that if their significant other is sleeping with someone else, then they're obviously doing something wrong in the bedroom department. Now, having some experience in this kind of situation, I often found that the plural of spouse is spice; not to mention the fact that when I was in the military, my LIGF had been known to jump the fence when I was off playing soldier for long periods. I look at it this way: first, if I was gone and she was itchy, what was I supposed to do? "Sir, I gotta head back right away, before my old lady tears the house apart with her hormones" wouldn't have flown too high. Second, there was an occasion or two when she wasn't there, and I had access, so to speak; we gave the phrase "don't ask, don't tell" a new definition. So, really, I think it gets down to how happy and secure a couple is; after all, sex isn't the cake, but it's damn delicious icing.

Personally, I think that it's one of those things you share only with the one you love...
But we have different views, and for some it is hard to imagine sleeping with one person for the rest of their lives....
But then again, how many people really stay married that long, not many...
