I have to be able to make it so it should be fairly simple, but not too simple. I also have to come up with the production and marketing detail so any help here is also appreciated. The product should be creative and have packaging and labelling and an advertisement. So if anyone knows any crafts I can make or sites I can go on to get the instructions or ideas please help me out. The product can be absolutely anything.

In high school, we made crocheted scarves for our Asian Club fundraiser. It's very cheap material (Less than $3.00 per ball of yarn) and depending on the width and length, we sold it from $10.00 - $20.00. It's very easy to do!

I would do something really easy and yummy like giant cookies of some type.

You could give them a clever name (maybe name them after yourself...."Mike's Moose Cookies" or "Steve'sSuperSnacks" etc.) and do something clever with the packaging.

Or make a variety of cookies---Maybe sugar cookies in your school's colors , or cookies named after the school masket---

Cookies would be easy to do, and you'd be able to demonstrate all of the principles your teacher is trying to teach without spending too much time or expense with production (although you could "beef up" how difficult it is, how many steps involved, pitfalls in production because of burning, undercooking,or # of ingredients, etc.)
It would be easy, fun, interesting, fairly universal (everyone eats!) and has "legs" as they say in the advertising industry.

Honestly, although there are a million interesting and fun things you could do, think about your teacher's intent. He is trying to get you to show that you have absorbed what he has taught your class. So use *your* project to highlight *his great teaching* and you'll get an "A". Remember, your class is not about manufacture, or production, or even marketing...it is understanding how those things are integrated into a business.

I would do glycerin soap. Use PVC plastic tubing to make circles or find something you could pour into for a log then cut to make soap bars. You can add dried herbs or oatmeal, etc. for decoration. Use paper to make wrapping. Go to your local libary for books. This will be free. This is an easy and fast way do a project and easy to market, especially to kids at school. VERY INEXPENSIVE to do and if some doesn't sell....hey you all have to wash so it doesn't go to waste. Don't over make. Make only a few colors and kinds like maybe 4...Have good Funky names for each soap, and package attractively. To sell door to door your selling point IS: Hey I could be selling you a box of chocolates that cost 8.00 and only have 6 pieces in it. Everyone needs soap...It will work.!

Since people are big into recycling, make a product that is recycled. Items from old blue jeans, empty food cans.
Make cloth covered books/journals. http://library.thinkquest.org/J001156/makingbooks/sc_clothcovered.htm
