I have the same problem and I use the Clinique 3-step system. It works great for me. You can get it on Ebay for a great price, look for the oily skin type.

First find a skincare system that works for your skin. There are lots out there. Stay away from heavy cream bases or anything with alcohol. The cream bases make your skin worse (trust me I KNOW, I also have VERY oily skin) and alcohol dries out the surface of your skin. Try to keep you skin clean and the blotting sheets are a beauty wonder when you are out and about. A compact with oil control powder can also help. I've just recently discovered a toning spray in Bath & Bodyworks, that helps control the oil too. Other than that try to limit your intake of fried foods. Now it's a pain, but as you get older, the oily skin with be a mixed blessing as it will keep your face looking younger.

Use a good oil control face wash , Neutrogena (oil control face wash ) or the more gentle cetaphil face wash. The tea tree oil face wash from body shop can also be used. A non alcoholic toner can be used. Use face blotting tissues to remove excess oil from the T zone and around your nose is where you get very oily patches. They have blotting cloths out there that take the oil off of your skin.
having oily skin means you're skin is healthy, and that you secrete more oils then other people. Oily skin prevents wrinkles.

I usually use Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing sheets for oily spots on my face. They work great and do not mess up your makeup.
